How I Became A Badfinger Fan

Near 1980 I was 9 years old I found at my grandmother's house a copy of "No dice" with no cover and the single "No matter what/carry on...". Surely it belonged to my father or my uncle. I was seduced by apple's logo (by those times i was a beatle fan). Nobody, at least nobody near me, knew anything about Badfinger.

Please correct me if i am wrong, but i could swear that i saw (near 1985) "Say no more" in CD format, but now the information i have is that it was never edited as a cd. I didn' t give much attention to that cd as i didn't have a cd player!

That was the only thing I knew about this band until I read in a small book, called "Estrellas en el cielo" (that has 2 meanings: stars in the sky, and stars in heaven) what happened with these two guys (Pete and Tom). I think it was 1993 when I discovered in Musimundo (Argentina's biggest record store) "No dice" and "Magic christian ..." CD's (u$d 22 each, which is current price for a cd here). Two years later I bought "Say no more" lp for only u$d 5.

That was all until this year when I began to navigate in internet and got complete info about the group's discography. Since then i bought "Straight up", "Badfinger" (Joey's re-make of Badfinger's hits) and the tribute "Come and get it". I also bought "Director cuts" DVD. Funny because I don't have DVD, and I think that some time will pass until I can see it (but I have it!)

These days i will be receiving "Badfinger", "Wish you..." and "7 park..." from a japanese store I found in internet. I am after the complete official discography and the solo projects. Whish me luck!!
