How I Became A Badfinger Fan

Somewhere around 1977, when I had been a Beatles fan for about a year, I saw Magic Christian Music in a record store, selling for real cheap. It was on Apple, and I figured as a Beatles fan, maybe I would try to collect everything on the Apple label. So I bought it, expecting it to become a "collection" piece only. But I played it, and that was it! Crimson Ship, Rock of Ages, every last cut was a joy to me. I even took it to school (something I NEVER did with my precious, fragile records) to let my closest musical friend listen to it. He wasn't as impressed as I was, so I never spoke to him again. Just kidding about that, but I got every Badfinger record I could after that, and have not been let down yet....all the way through 7 Park Avenue all these years later. And I'm still excited just thinking about the next few months of Badfinger-ness; Head First, Airwaves, VH-1, etc. So that's my story. I could not come up with a good ending, but then I realized.....if there are new releases to look forward to in 1999, there is no ending to this fan's story!
